After spending the last year watching her sister Britney Spears struggle to overcome the pitfalls of fame and, at just 16, announcing her own pregnancy with boyfriend Casey Aldridge, Jamie Lynn Spears tells OK! exclusively that she plans to lead a much more low-key life with her new baby daughter.
“More than anything, I just want this baby to have a normal life,” Jamie Lynn, 17, told OK! exclusively.
And she stayed true to her word when, in the pre-dawn hours of June 21, just two days after her birth, Maddie Briann Aldridge got her first taste of celebrity. Barely 48 hours old, Maddie and her mom, Jamie Lynn were the stars of a finely choreographed dance meant to fool the paparazzi and allow the pair to get home safely without the kind of mad crush that greeted big sis Britney when she tearfully returned to L.A. from Louisiana 12 hours earlier.
State troopers, private security detail and Jamie Lynn look-alikes were all used to sneak mom and baby out of Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, Miss., and back to their new home in Liberty.
The ruse was pulled off successfully with the help of Maddie’s grandma Lynne Spears and proud papa Casey Aldridge, 18, who drove Jamie Lynn’s SUV with decoys hidden behind a large white sheet in the backseat.
Maddie’s birth on June 19 was, thankfully, more low-key. Reports that Jamie Lynn had delivered via C-section were completely false. Her labor began on June 18 β two days before her expected due date β and at 9:33 the next morning, Maddie had made her grand entrance.
Barely more than a child herself, Jamie Lynn has proven to be exceptionally mature in dealing with her pregnancy and motherhood. Her priority is to give Maddie an upbringing that is more Kentwood than Hollywood.
Though Britney, 26, is well on her way to getting her life and career back on track, Jamie Lynn has seen the impact that fame has had on her super-famous sister, including two broken marriages, three stints in rehab and a brutal child-custody battle.
“We want to give the baby the most normal life she could ever have,” Jamie Lynn tells OK!.

Tori Spelling just had her baby a couple weeks ago&she got a cover pretty soon so maybe Jamie will have the cover week after next.Or maybe she will be on “People”.

oh please.she can forget about her having a normal life.no “celebrity” child will have a “normal” life such as a purely normal,un-famous person.nice thought tho.
most of celebs kids have a normal life, yes its not like your or mine but its normal in the sence of not have camras up ur butt 24/7 thats what she ment. and brad n ang’s kids have a semi normal life the are in the midia but not their parents and along with denise richards daughters too. the first time seeing them was in that show she did. so its only a SEMI NORMAL life not toatally normal.. thats all she wants. and i would want my daughter to have the same thing being that jamie just gave birth to her about 48 hrs ago.
oh and how does someone know that jamie sold OK mag the pics yet? no one does. and we are all waiting on pics. so lets just wait. cause i really dont think i wont be any time soon. i dont think jamie is in a rush to have her daughter in the public eye quit yet.
she said in an interview months ago that she sold rites to the first pictures for $1millon, so its gonna happen, they might not have actually taken the picture yet but will be soon hopefully
well it didnt show up.but i typed in “jamie-lynn Spears” in the search bar and on the 2nd page a picture of “maddie”(or a baby claiming to be her)popped up.
they will have to take pictures of the baby anytime soon.
I mean, !ok will have the first picture so they must hide the baby otherwise random papz are gonna take pictures of her and they wont receive the money anymore.
the photobook ones are fakes, no pictures of maddie have been released on the net

They will all have a normal life if people respect them and their wishes, they’re not gods, they’re people like you and me… who are good at what they do
