After making a big splash in the Bahamas the day before, Britney Spears emerged Saturday in Amite, La., where she made a low-key appearance as an “honorary” bridesmaid at the wedding of her cousin, Laura Lynne Covington.
“When her brother walked her down the aisle, she looked stunningly calm and beautiful,” says one wedding guest. “She was very pretty, low-key. She was not the center of everything, just pretty and calm and collected.”
The wedding took place at the First United Methodist Church, the same church where the funeral for Covington’s mother Sandra, who died of ovarian cancer, took place in January 2007.
Later, at the wedding reception, the pop star hung out with her sister and fellow bridesmaid, Jamie Lynn, who toted baby Maddie, and “sat at a table off to the side and visited with local people she knew,” says the guest.
“There was no fanfare,” noted the guest. “With all the star power Britney and her family command, it was still the bride’s day.”

Less than two weeks after being thrown from his pickup after a late-night bachelor party, Jamie Lynn Spears’s boyfriend, Casey Aldridge, stood as best man at his cousin’s weekend wedding in Mississippi, a family source tells PEOPLE.
“He had the weakness of having been in bed and still trying to get his feet under him, but he made it,” the source says. “It was outside, it was hot, but he did okay. It’s just going to take him a few weeks to get better.”
The wedding and reception took place Saturday at Luckett Lodge in Brandon, Miss., with about 50 guests. Another source says Casey was limping and walking slowly. “He was not very animated,” that source said. “He is usually quite lively, but he seemed lethargic.”
Spears also participated in the wedding but was not part of the wedding party. “She helped greet guests,” the family source says. “No one really made a big deal over her, it was just Casey and Jamie Lynn.”
Aldridge, 20, flipped his truck on April 26 on a rural Louisiana road, causing him and two of his four passengers to be thrown from the vehicle. Aldridge spent nearly a week in the hospital with head trauma but no apparent brain injury.
As for wedding bells ringing in the future for Aldridge and Spears, the family source says there are no concrete plans, “but they’re definitely together. You can throw all those rumors away.” He and Spears are living together with their 11-month-old daughter, Maddie.
While Aldridge appears ready to recover fully from the wreck, the hospital stay and trauma of his narrow escape from serious injury may have had an effect on him, the source says. “He seems to me to be thinking a little more seriously about things,” the family source says. “I think he seems to be a little more subdued, more down to earth.”

Thanks to Madison for pointing out this video from the Circus Tour in California when Jamie Lynn was there. If you look closely, Jamie Lynn is sitting next to Lynne and wearing a white top.
Casey Aldridge, the boyfriend of Jamie Lynn Spears and father to her 10-month-old baby, was released from a Mississippi hospital on Friday, five days after flipping over in his pickup truck while partying with friends at a late-night bachelor party, a family source tells PEOPLE.
“Casey got home today, and he’s doing really well,” the source says. “He’ll have to have some rest for the next few weeks. He’s still got a headache, but everything looks good.”
Aldridge, 20, suffered a head injury that required no surgery and apparently caused no permanent damage, the source says. He was taken to a small, rural hospital in Ferriday, La., early Sunday and later transferred by ambulance to the larger University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where he spent time in the intensive care unit.
Spears has been at his side since the incident, even riding in the ambulance with Aldridge on the way to the Mississippi hospital.
“They’re both at the house in Liberty (Miss.),” the source says. Spears’s mother, Lynne, has been keeping the couple’s baby, Maddie Briann, “for most of the time during this whole episode, but I guess the baby will be going back home. Now Jamie Lynn will have two babies to care for.”
Aldridge had been attending a bachelor party for a cousin who is getting married next week. He is the best man, “but I don’t know if he’ll be up to that or not. We’ll just have to wait and see,” the source says.

Good news for Casey Aldridge: Doctors at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss., said they plan to move the 19-year-old boyfriend of Jamie Lynn Spears out of the intensive care unit as early as Monday, a source close to the family tells PEOPLE.
“They said it was borderline whether he needed surgery or not,” says the source, “but they’ve taken some scans and see no further damage.”
Aldridge, the father of Spears’s daughter, has been hospitalized with a head injury that he suffered when he flipped his F-250 pickup truck on the driver’s side on a two-lane road in Louisiana at 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
The accident – during which three of the five occupants were ejected, including Aldridge – occurred after a bachelor party for Aldridge’s cousin at nearby Lake Bruin on Saturday, according to the source. The two passengers who were ejected suffered less serious injuries.
Spears in Good Spirits
“Jamie Lynn has been at the hospital, and all indications are that she is holding up well,” the family source tells PEOPLE.
After his head injury was diagnosed at a small hospital in Vidalia, La., close to the crash site, Spears accompanied Aldridge during the two-hour ride to the Jackson, Miss., medical center.
“[Jamie Lynn] was in the ambulance with Casey, and Casey’s sister followed in the car,” says the source.
Given the nature of the incident, the police are surprised that Aldridge and his four passengers are faring as well as they are.
“It’s an anomaly that no one was injured more seriously,” says Louisiana State Police spokesman Mark Dennis. “Usually in that kind of accident, you see serious injuries or fatalities.”
The family source agrees.
“Only one of them was even wearing a seat belt,” says the source. “There had to be angels all around them.”

Doctors have warned family members that Casey faces surgery when they believe his body is strong enough to handle it.

Britney Spears’ younger sister Jamie Lynn has postponed her wedding.
The 17-year-old star was set to tie the knot with her 18-year-old fiance Casey Aldridge – with whom she has nine-month-old daughter Maddie – but has decided she is happy with their relationship as it is for now.
A source told America’s OK! magazine: “The wedding is off. They are still in love, living together and very happy, but they have no plans to get married.
Jamie Lynn has everything she wants and feels no need for a ring and piece of paper.”
Another insider explained: “She and Casey have weathered a lot in their young relationship already and don’t need the pressure of making wedding plans.”
Jamie Lynn – Britney Spears’ younger sister – announced she was pregnant when she was 16.
Her relationship with Casey has been turbulent.
Last August, it was claimed Casey had a relationship with Kelli Dawson until Jamie Lynn was six months pregnant, although he vehemently denied the reports.
The Zoey 101 actress has adapted well to motherhood, and has decided not to return to acting so she can spend more time with Maddie.
A source said: “She has told friends and family she’s never coming back to Hollywood. She feels that part of her life is over. Since she’s had Maddie, her life has changed completely.
“Jamie Lynn knows she needs to make a living when she grows older, so she’s already discussing her career options with advisers. She wants Maddie to grow up in comfort.”

Below is the full story and the issue comes out tomorrow.
On March 4, Jamie Lynn Spears and her boyfriend, Casey Aldridge, were spotted leaving their New Orleans hotel after attending her sister Britney Spears’ Circus comeback concert the night before.
While Casey tenderly held their 9-month-old daughter, Maddie Briann, Jamie Lynn loaded her diaper bags, toys and pink stroller into the minivan. Then the family took off on the four-hour drive back to their Mississippi home.
The young unmarried couple looked as connected as could be on their trip to cheer on Britney at her first show. But now Jamie Lynn – who was 16 when she shocked the world by telling OK! in December 2007 that she was expecting a child with her 18-year-old boyfriend – has decided not to walk down the aisle with him.
“The wedding’s off,” a source reveals to OK!. “They are still in love, living together and very happy, but they have no plans to get married. Jamie Lynn has everything she wants and feels no need for a ring and piece of paper.”
Adds another insider, “She and Casey have weathered a lot in their young relationship already and don’t need the pressure of making wedding plans.”
